Although the new 2016 Ford Everest has a boxy design according to official information it has the best-in class drag coefficient of 0,389. The reason for that low number is an underbody shield that aids air to pass underneath the vehicle. On the front fascia is recognizable inverted trapezoidal grille with integrated LED headlights with LED daytime running lights. Foglights are integrated into the front bumper that gives the new Ford Everest 2016 a proud and modern look. Rear end of this 7-passenger SUV is mostly squared shape beside angular LED taillights that give it more modern look.

Smaller diesel engine is 2.2-liter Duratorq 4-cylinder TDCi engine that offers the best fuel economy without drastic reducing of performance. For maximum power and torque there is 3.2-liter Duratorq 5-cylinder TDCi engine. With diesel engines comes an option of two gearboxes: 6-speed manual and 6R80 6-speed automatic transmission with SelectShift manual mode.
Although the exact numbers are still unknown for this stage we can presume their power and torque. That bring us to the next numbers: 250 horsepower and 270 lb-ft of torque (183kw/366Nm) for gas engine, 150 horsepower and 277 lb-ft of torque (110kW/375Nm) for 2.2-liter TDCi 4-cylinder and 200 horsepower and 347 lb-ft of torque (147kW/470Nm) for 3.2-liter 5-cylinder diesel engines. With large diesel engine the new Ford Everest 2016 towing capacity is 6,600 pounds (3000 kg) which is best in class.
