Moving to the car’s exterior, we can see clear improvements made to the design. Firstly, the front is now better defined and boasts larger headlights that include both Xenon for the low-beams and also LED for the daytime running lights. The bumper now includes a small shield that should protect it in light off-road situations while the side-skirts offer minimal protection. The back now offers a larger tailgate that can be opened in two steps. The rear bumper has remained basically unchanged with the exception of the black accents.

Expedition marketing manager, Keith Wilson said: “Customers still have a need for a traditional full-size utility vehicle and the new 2015 Expedition delivers what those customers are looking for. These are Ford’s more affluent customers who won’t compromise – they want space, performance, comfort and capability all in one impressive package.”

Engine wise, you will be surprised about what the 2015 Ford Expedition has to offer. The big 5.4 liter V8 has been dropped in the favor of a smaller 3.5 liter EcoBoost that is not only more powerful but also more fuel efficient. This is able to offer as much as 365 horsepower and 420 pound-feet of torque which are all available from as low as 1800 rpm. Thanks to this engine the Expedition is able to get an average mileage of around 24 MPG which is better than most cars in its class. Unfortunately there won’t be a second engine offered but there is a high possibility that the car will get a diesel that should give it better fuel consumption and also more torque.
